Comparison of IDW and Kriging Interpolation Methods Using Geoelectric Data to Determine the Depth of the Aquifer in Semarang, Indonesia

Several areas in Semarang City have been unable to get a clean water supply through the Local Water Company (PDAM) channel. One of solutions that can be done overcome this problem is by utilizing groundwater, which obtained building deep well made obtain rock layers accommodate and drain groundwater (aquifer layer). To find out approximate depth aquifer layer, it necessary conduct preliminary investigation before drilling. There are so many methods done, one them using geoelectric method. After method, we determine distribution interpolation analysis. In study, IDW Kriging were used. The two then compared show difference depths lack above. Besides that, RMSE MAPE analysis error rate methods. results amounting 5,829 5,433, 10.90% 10.34%. Based on this, method tends better when interpolating data. With research, hoped provide knowledge most suitable used determining also as an illustration area lacked City, reference estimating design good development more accurately.
